My husband and I booked a Premier Twin Room as an overnight stay between our train journey from Sapporo to Tokyo. Location of hotel is excellent, right in front of JR Hakodate Station. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, checking in and out was incredibly smooth and the staff helped with delivering our luggage to our room. The room was excellent, much bigger than we thought it was going to be, It was a novelty having that much space in a Japanese hotel room. There was a Nespresso machine with pods, a mini fridge and a bathroom stocked with disposable amenities, perfect for an overnight stay. Having booked a Premium style room, we had access to a lounge on the 13th floor with free non-alcoholic drinks, sweets and manga books. Perfect if you need to work on a laptop or just want to read. In the main lobby there was a machine offering unlimited free hot drinks - perfect after being out in the freezing cold - and a souvenir stamp, just like eki stamps you'd find at train stations. Overall the hotel exceeded our expectations. Fantastic hotel, will definitely be back to stay again.

The hotel is right across the road from the Hakodate railway station. If travelling by Shinkansen, it's a very convenient location, being a short local train trip into the Hakodate town centre. The hotel is very luxurious and well appointed, the lobby is impressive, and we had a large room set up as twin share. The views from the room were to the North overlooking the station and through to the distant mountains. The bathroom had a modern Japanese toilet, large bath with overhead shower, shampoo, conditioner and shower wash and hand wash we're provided. The room also had a small mini fridge, kettle, coffee pod machine and a few coffee pods. It also had a desk, generous space for luggage and clothes. A tv and hotel amenities guide. The bar on level 13 has an excellent view overlooking the south side of the hotel towards the scenic peninsula with cable car and bay and oven view. It also offers a small pizza range if you are missing pizza in your travels.

Location is very convenient, right next to the JR station and seafood morning market, lots of restaurant options. Breakfast buffet has a variety of food, in both western and Japanese styles. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Upon check-in they told us to park in the cheaper parking lot and gave us a coupon that covers 1-hour parking that we parked at originally (more expensive overnight). Later on our trip, we ran into an incident where we parked at the bay marina, the pay machine "ate" our credit card and didn't return it to us. We had trouble calling the number on the machine and didn't know enough Japanese to communicate the issue regardless, went back to the hotel and showed the staff what happened (thanks chatgpt), the staff called the parking lot number and they arranged someone to fix the machine in 10 minutes, after some time we were able to retrieve the credit card, we really appreciate the help from the front desk staff!

Amazing location! Immediately visible from the JR Hakodate Station, just walk outside across the street. Lobby and entrance is so grand and welcoming. Staff all spoke English and were very efficient and helpful. Free WiFi in hotel, room was small but very cozy but best thing was the view! I could see the mountain with the cable car from my bed, as well as the ocean on both sides of the city and the mountains on the horizon. Room had TV, kettle, fridge, pajamas, outlets everywhere, a very good lamp with multiple settings! And free water as well as coffee. Bathroom had a shower and bath too. Very great for a 1 night stay, perfect for catching an early train right next door. Hotel even offers massage services! I was really looking forward to booking one but they were fully booked on the night I was there unfortunately!

While the hotel may be a bit worn out, it definitely has its charm. It is conveniently located right outside the station, making it an ideal spot for exploring the lovely city of Hakodate. We stayed in a premier room, which is similar to the standard room but located on the upper floor with great views. Additionally, it was a twin room, offering a bit more space than a double, and the beds can easily be pushed together if needed. Guests in premier rooms have access to a complimentary buffet area with snacks and drinks. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they speak good English. There is a separate smoking room for e-cigarette users. Also, they have a coin laundry, which is quite convenient. Overall, the breakfast was enjoyable with both Western and traditional Japanese options.
